Strengthening the resilience of Sahelian farmers against recurring droughts, through agroecological practices.

Training & Capacity Building

CILSS trains farmers and local decision-makers in resilient production methods and climate risk management.

Ecosystem Protection

Fight against desertification through reforestation projects and restoration of degraded soils.

CILSS works directly with rural communities to promote sustainable agricultural practices and strengthen their resilience to climate change.

The objectives of the ICT communication platform

The CILSS ICT platform has several key objectives. It aims to enhance the visibility of CILSS services, improve information-sharing among stakeholders, facilitate decision-making, and promote CILSS initiatives to member states, partners, and the general public.

Increase visibility

The communication platform showcases CILSS's activities, regional stakeholders, projects, and achievements, while highlighting its expertise and role in food security and natural resource management.

Strengthen cohesion

By facilitating the flow of information and fostering a sense of belonging, the platform strengthens unity and synergy among CILSS stakeholders.

Involve all stakeholders

The platform aims to create a space for exchange and dialogue among key stakeholders in the field, including policymakers, researchers, private sector actors, and communities.
